Ninyo & Moore, A SOCOTEC Company is seeking a Principal-level Environmental Geologist or Engineer for their Irvine, California office. The successful candidate will serve as the technical lead, focusing on business development and technical consulting to expand the company's Environmental consulting business.

Responsibilities

Perform business development and technical consulting activities
Maintain strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
Conduct NEPA/CEQA & EIR activities
Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments
Oversee Environmental Remediation and Emergency Construction Support for Contaminated Sites
Address environmental issues (air, waste water, hazardous waste)
Attend shortlist/interview presentations for major environmental clients
Act as an Expert Witness

Required

BS Degree in Geology, Civil Engineering, or equivalent
California PG, PE, or GE license required
Results-driven and self-motivated CA licensed professional geologist or engineer (PE or PG) with 15+ years of experience preferably with an environmental engineering services consulting firm
NEPA/CEQA & EIR experience
Strong relationships with state and local regulatory agencies
Expertise in Regulatory Compliance
Ability to perform as an Expert Witness

Preferred

Senior management level presentation and negotiation skills
Business development and client services focus
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to act as the client manager for key clients or service areas
Strong technical reviewer and mentor for junior technical personnel
Basic computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
