Northeast Missouri Electric Power Cooperative is a transmission cooperative delivering power to northeast Missouri and southeast Iowa. They are seeking a Lineman Intern to gain hands-on experience working alongside transmission line crews while learning fundamental field skills in a safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with transmission line maintenance activities

Support substation maintenance tasks as assigned

Assist with transmission line construction projects

Help with right-of-way trimming and vegetation management

Climb wooden poles under supervision and assist with line maintenance work

Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a safe and organized manner

Required

Currently pursuing a degree or certification related to electrical power technology, linework, or a closely related field

Strong attention to safety and adherence to established procedures

Ability to work effectively as part of a field crew

Willingness to learn climbing techniques and work at heights

Dependability, clear communication and a strong work ethic

Preferred

Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred
