Human Resources - Compensation Specialist

The role involves administration of compensation processes, assisting in planning activities, and ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
Provide professional support in all areas of Human Resources with a primary focus of compensation and analytics
Responsible for a variety of tasks including day-to-day administration and management for the Human Resources team
Processing/updating data including record keeping into the human resources management system database
Administration of compensation and act as a liaison between leaders during the compensation approval process
Verification that all forms and actions taken or requested are consistent with the Bank’s policies, procedures and in compliance with federal, state and local requirements
Assist the Human Resources leaders in compensation planning activities, such as reporting, metrics and dashboards
Resolve compensation related problems, coordinate pre-employment, assist with events such as associate recognition/appreciation, holiday events, recruiting events, assist with other Human Resources needs such as onboarding, orientation, offboarding, recognition, community activism, and generalist processes
Build a great rapport with clients and fellow associates and treat others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
2+ years of experience in a related field
Knowledge of key HR functions such as compensation, or employment
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely articulate issues
Ability to think creatively and meet challenges with resourcefulness
Ability to interact with others in a professional and tactful manner including treating them with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position
Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks and/or projects
Ability to set expectations on delivery dates and milestones
Ability to interpret documents and information such as that contained with policies and procedure manuals
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Preferred
PHR/SPHR certification
4+ years of relevant job experience in human resources
