Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and successful project outcomes
Lead project delivery from proposal to completion, managing schedules, budgets, contracts, and quality
Drive business development by pursuing new opportunities, writing proposals, and expanding KPFF’s client base
Oversee and review technical design work for site development and infrastructure projects
Navigate New York and New Jersey permitting, zoning, and agency coordination (e.g., DOB, DEP, DOT, and local utilities) to ensure compliance and smooth approvals
Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and public agencies to coordinate all aspects of project execution
Mentor, train, and guide engineers at all levels, fostering technical excellence and professional growth
Represent KPFF in client meetings, industry events, and professional organizations, contributing to the growth and visibility of the New York office
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
PE license
8+ years of civil engineering experience, with a proven track record managing site development and infrastructure projects
Demonstrated success in business development, including client relationship management and securing new work
Advanced knowledge of New York and New Jersey permitting, codes, and regulatory processes, with experience guiding teams through agency approvals
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Strong leadership skills and confidence managing teams, projects, and client expectations
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
Ability to work in the New York office for at least three days to participate in client meetings, team collaboration, and professional development
Preferred
Master's degree in Civil Engineering
