Responsibilities
Teach courses in accounting or closely related fields at the associate level or baccalaureate level business programs, as assigned
Prepare course plans and materials
Effectively deliver course content
Monitor student attendance and progress
Participate on departmental and College committees
Participate in curriculum development
Support activities that foster retention
Participate in the selection of textbooks
Perform the assessment of student learning outcomes
Take part in other service and professional development activities
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited institution with a master's degree in Accounting, or a closely-related discipline with 18 graduate credits in Accounting
Successful results of a criminal background check are required
Effective teaching and advising of diverse students
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Commitment to the comprehensive state college mission
Prepare course plans and materials
Effectively deliver course content
Monitor student attendance and progress
Participate on departmental and College committees
Participate in curriculum development
Support activities that foster retention
Participate in the selection of textbooks
Perform the assessment of student learning outcomes
Take part in other service and professional development activities
Primary duty station will be in-person on the Pensacola Campus
Multiple campus, day, evening, and distance learning teaching assignments are possible
Preferred
Doctoral degree in Accounting, or a closely-related discipline with 18 graduate credits in Accounting
Post-secondary teaching experience and experience teaching distance learning courses
Special consideration provided for those with the ability to be credentialed in both Economics and Accounting
Experience with traditional face-to-face lecture
Local travel between PSC campuses
