CharacterStrong, a FullBloom Company, is a fast-paced tech education company focused on providing digital social-emotional learning curricula for PreK-12. The Level 1 Business Development Representative will generate leads, support the sales process, and build strong relationships with clients to help achieve regional revenue targets.

Responsibilities

Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to track warm and hot leads, as well as follow up multiple times
Research and strategize to find new leads in identified areas of the region
Work with the sales team to make outbound phone calls to schedule face-to-face & virtual appointments. This includes establishing long-term relationships with the sales team member(s) and getting to know territory-specific differences/needs
Effectively keep a record of weekly activities and sales opportunities created
Work with the assigned Sales Teams to strategize each month on which districts to focus and follow up with to bring CharacterStrong’s curriculum and training resources to their district and or school
Actively contribute ideas that grow CharacterStrong through weekly, quarterly, and annual meetings
Research and identify target contacts for event invitations, create and execute targeted outreach campaigns, and track registrations to assess customer status and product usage
Support and follow up with all, conference/stage, and webinar leads to get them to take the next step
Exercises inclusion, care, and empathy with others, balances honesty with compassion, and cultivates the well-being of self and others
Takes initiative to drive work forward, demonstrates responsibility when things do not go according to plan, and is proactive in closing identified gaps

Required

Strong relationship-building skills
Effective written and verbal communication skills
The ability to both call and email prospective customers on a daily basis

Produces timely, quality results and consistently asks the question, 'How can I make this 1% better?'
Efficient with CRM's, Google and Microsoft Suite applications, and other business apps like: Slack, Zoom, Notion, HubSpot preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred
2 years in a school setting preferred
