Barrick Mining Corporation is looking for an Environmental professional to join their Environmental group at Carlin. The successful candidate will perform various technical and administrative tasks to ensure compliance with air quality permits and programs.

Responsibilities

Work closely with site personnel to ensure compliance to Title V, Class II, and MOPTC permits

Maintain and contribute to improvement of sustainable systems to ensure air compliance at all times within the organization

Prepare for inspections of operations to ensure permit compliance including accompanying regulatory inspectors on periodic inspections of work areas on the mine site

Participate in source testing activities, as assigned

Prepare semi-annual and annual compliance reports, as assigned

Manage contractor work, as applicable

Assist operating division personnel in achieving their objectives

Assist with training of NGM employees, contractors, and others

Responsible for periodic, after hours on-call response to environmental incidents, as needed

This position requires the ability to regularly walk over uneven, sloped, rocky, wet or icy ground and the ability to lift 40 or more pounds consistently and safely

Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field required, but can be substituted with 5 years direct mining and air program related experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large quantities of data from various sources

Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

In-depth experience with Excel
