Responsibilities
Lead Hardware Design: Plan, lead, implement, and debug SSD hardware designs from concept through production
Drive Interoperability & Debugging: Drive interoperability testing across server/storage systems and SSDs. You will diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues in collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and Joint Development Manufacturing (JDM) partners
Conduct Failure Analysis: Lead failure analysis and root cause investigations to support field issues and customer escalations
Enhance Processes: Apply your knowledge of major bus technologies like PCIe, DDR, and NAND to evaluate system-level trade-offs. You will also use automation and AI to improve SSD design and validation processes
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience in hardware design and development, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection
Proven experience in validating hardware at the electrical, signal integrity, protocol, and functional levels
Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes and differential probes
Strong knowledge of major bus technologies, such as PCIe, DDR, NAND, SPI, and I2C
A strong background in using scripting languages, such as Python and BASH, to enhance design and validation processes
