Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Service Life Analysis Engineer for the Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) group in Marietta, Georgia. The successful candidate will apply their understanding of Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) analysis to develop innovative solutions to complex technical problems, focusing on aircraft primary and secondary structures and systems.

Responsibilities

DaDT and Fatigue analysis, detail part sizing, and strength assessment of aircraft primary and secondary structure and systems

Using crack initiation and crack growth analysis tools to perform design sizing, Material Review Board (MRB), drawing review, and preparing analysis reports

Development of force management source data to actively manage airframe to ensure safe operation

Development and implementation of Force Structural Maintenance Plans (FSMPs) and Individual Aircraft Tracking (IAT) to support force management activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil Engineering

Understanding of performing Material Review Board (MRB), stress analysis, fatigue / durability analysis, crack growth / damage tolerance analysis

Understanding of engineering drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance

Preferred

Understanding of NDI techniques, equipment, and capabilities

Technical writing skills

Demonstrated experience and knowledge in airframe drawings, structural load paths, aircraft structural behavior, fracture mechanics methods, and aircraft maintenance requirements
