Responsibilities

Review, update, create and maintain network related documentation
Maintaining computer networks including routers, switches, wireless access points and other physical hardware
Installing and configuring network equipment
Assist Cybersecurity team with Creating firewalls rules and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected if needed
Setup monitoring of network devices using SolarWinds to improve network performance for all systems
Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management
Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of networking and network security best practices to offer the best network performance and protection to company systems
Other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar
Candidates should have at least one year of experience in network or network security engineering with knowledge in enterprise network design, WAN connectivity, IPv4 subnetting, dynamic routing protocols, Cisco and Aruba device management, cloud network architecture, AWS or Azure, and network troubleshooting
Valid Cisco CCNA/ CCNP or Aruba certification
This role may occasionally travel to remote job sites or office locations on an as-needed basis
Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50lbs
Dexterity to handle small components and tools
Prolong periods of sitting and working at a computer and standing and walking during job site or office visits

Preferred

Experience with wireless controllers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, web filtering, network access control, and cloud security platforms is preferred
