Responsibilities
Support the design, configuration, and implementation of Gas Turbine controls, electrical and hardware systems for power plants to meet customer expectations
Design, create and produce electrical schematics and wiring specifications
Select, specify and review electrical hardware and device designs
Effectively work with a team of project engineers and project managers to solve problems collaboratively and share learnings
Leverage experience with customers’ processes and execution methodologies to lead customer facing activities such as control system layouts, hardware configurations, electrical schematics and drawings, hardware testing, controls validation, performance testing of simulation models and acceptance tests
Contribute to global cross-functional projects by supporting senior engineers to gain exposure to different disciplines
Support the development of internal tools to improve processes and product quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering
2+ years of related professional experience in an engineering environment
Ability to work in office located in Latham, NY
Authorised to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Individuals with temporary visas such as E, F-1 (including those with OPT or CPT), H-1, H-2, L-1, B, J or TN, or who need sponsorship for work authorisation now or in the future, are not eligible for hire. MUST be US Citizen or possess a Green Card
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in engineering computer science, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
5 years of engineering experience in electrical systems, automation, or controls
Experience with AutoCAD or equivalent CAD programs related to electrical and/or wiring design
Exposure to power generation systems, plant operations or industrial environments
Prior experience in drafting, electrical design, controls
Previous experience working with electrical systems and/or control systems
Interest in continuous learning and staying current with industry advancements in design and engineering of electrical, hardware and control systems
