Vehicle Integration Engineer

Responsibilities
Be the Voice of the Customer for a new large scale, global product
Support the Vehicle Engineering Manager in their role as Chief Technical Officer on your program
Lead cross-attribute and cross-functional engineering issue resolution
Understand customer-perceived vehicle attribute performance, and integrate attribute targets that are well-matched to the customer and the specific vehicle program
Champion development of features that differentiate and delight our customers. Ensure that the right program content is protected to achieve customer, corporate, and program requirements
Champion completion of Vehicle Engineering (VE) deliverables for each vehicle program milestones and gateways, including senior management drives and reviews
Represent VE during prototype and pre-production builds
Lead subjective-drive evaluations, management experience events and identify customer-level and engineering issues. Ensure all major issues are communicated to the responsible functional areas and drive all issues to full resolution
Qualification
Required
B.S. degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and/or Industrial)
5-10+ years of automotive experience in product development and experience of handling cross-functional issues
Strong understanding of customer-perceived vehicle attributes – Familiarity with a wide range of vehicle attributes and systems, strong technical depth in VE attributes
Preferred
Analytical skills to identify, diagnose and resolve issues
Experience in cross-functional leadership with great teamwork skills is highly desired
Highly motivated individual with a drive for results, leadership mentality and a self-starter attitude
Able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to quickly create presentations to demonstrate key points
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Possession of Valid Current US Driver's License
Have passion for trucks and off-road vehicles; understand how vehicle systems work
Prior VE experience is a plus
