Responsibilities

Advise clients on U.S. federal, state, and local payroll tax compliance, including but not limited to fringe benefits, equity compensation, mobile workforce taxation, and worker classification
Lead payroll tax audits and manage risk mitigation strategies for clients
Provide guidance on global compensation planning, cross-border payroll issues and HR program related policies
Interpret and apply IRS, and state-level regulations to client-specific scenarios
Collaborate with various Andersen stakeholders to excel in client-specific deliverables
Manage and mentor a team of consultants and managers across multiple engagements
Review technical deliverables and ensure high-quality client service
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field
8+ years of relevant experience in employment tax, payroll compliance, or compensation consulting, preferably in a Big 4 or similar consulting environment
Proven track record of managing complex client engagements and leading cross-functional teams
Strong understanding of Federal and State payroll taxation, payroll systems, equity compensation, fringe benefits, and worker classification rules
Proficient in conducting research independently on complex tax topics
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growing business and developing innovative solutions

Preferred

CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent preferred
Experience with global mobility or international payroll tax issues
Familiarity with Workday, ADP, or other payroll platforms
