Business Operations Specialist - Japanese bilingual

Responsibilities
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings
Handle billing, payments, funds management, and reporting (QuickBooks)
Support budgeting, internal controls, tax filings, and audits
Communicate regularly with Japan headquarters
Manage onboarding/offboarding, compensation, and benefits for expatriates and local staff
Assist expatriates/families with U.S. tax and visa matters
Maintain HR policies and employee handbook
Coordinate with U.S. affiliates on compliance and HR programs
Support recruiting and vendor management
Assist with contract review and management
Support preparation of shareholder meeting materials and risk management
Join occasional after-hours meetings with Japan headquarters
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
Native-level Japanese & Advanced-level English proficiency
Strong team player, proactive and independent worker
Preferred
HR or general affairs experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and QuickBooks
Experience in Japanese-affiliated companies or familiarity with Japanese corporate culture
