Technical Designer - Mid Level

Gensler is looking for a Technical Designer to join our growing Critical Facilities studio in our Las Vegas office. The role involves collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to create high-performance data centers and other mission-critical environments, ensuring successful project delivery from conceptual design through construction.

Responsibilities

Work with project teams in all project phases, including conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents and implementation
Collaborate with the design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and other vendors to meet overall project objectives
Produce accurate technical and contract documentation for construction of project
Develop and participate in internal and client presentations
Participate in the construction administration process ensuring the successful delivery of the design intent
Utilize 3D software renderings to communicate design concepts
Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs

Required

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a professionally accredited program
5-10 years of related architecture project experience
Proficiency in Revit required, and experience utilizing other digital design tools beyond Revit
Organized, creative, collaborative, and independent with ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
Applications will not be considered without uploaded portfolio/work samples (in PDF form or linked to online portfolio)

Preferred

Actively working towards achieving State licensure a plus
Passion for sustainable practices and interest in working towards certification (LEED, FitWell, etc.)
Knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques is preferred
Experience in construction document preparation and field observation is preferred
