Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, procurement, and engineering, to align material planning with production schedules and project requirements

Identify and lead projects to enhance our systems and processes

Utilize ERP, MRP, Excel, and SQL to manage and analyze material requirements, inventory levels, and procurement activities

Monitor and analyze material usage, lead times, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction

Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing

Prepare and present reports on material planning and inventory performance to management

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material planning processes and systems

Mentor and provide guidance to junior material planners and other team members

Required

Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or Masters +6 yrs experience)

Typically 8+ years of related experience

Experience supporting Lean Manufacturing and implementing demand scheduling tools

Highly skilled with ERP, MRP, Excel, SQL

Material Planning experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace or Automotive

Preferred

Certifications: Advanced certifications in supply chain management or material planning (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP)

Advanced degree in supply chain, Industrial Engineering, or CIS

Significant SAP experience

Experience using Python, R, PowerBI, Tableau
