Qualification
Required
Working toward a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Materials, Biomedical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or other related disciplines
Creative, inquisitive and demonstrates a strong desire to “build” and “create” (i.e. robotics, mechanical repair, construction)
Demonstrated experience reading & preparing technical documentation
Computer experience and skills including MS Word, Excel and CAD
Preferred
Strong analytical capability and organization skills
Coursework in 2-D/3-D drawings
Knowledge of SolidWorks
Good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and autonomously
Knowledge of medical device materials and processes: adhesives, plastics/polymers, metals, laser-welding, laser-cutting, braiding, and lamination
Machine shop experience
