They are seeking a skilled Technical Designer to ensure the fit, quality, and technical accuracy of their apparel, leading technical development from concept through production while collaborating with various teams.

Responsibilities

Provide technical guidance and support for kids’ and denim categories, ensuring optimal fit and product quality

Create and maintain detailed tech packs, graded specs, BOMs, and construction pages using PLM and Excel

Apply advanced pattern, construction, and denim garment knowledge when reviewing and refining styles

Conduct fittings independently, fit on various size sets, and write clear fit comments focused on consistency and quality improvements

Evaluate and measure samples from proto through TOPs; ensure size consistency and compliance with safety and brand standards

Partner closely with Design to maintain the seasonal aesthetic while solving technical challenges

Communicate clearly with factories and overseas partners on corrections, quality issues, and execution solutions

Track sample flow and approvals against the development calendar to ensure on-time delivery

Build and maintain consistent fit standards across multiple kids’ age groups and denim silhouettes

Troubleshoot denim-specific construction, wash treatments, shrinkage/torque, and fabric performance

Collaborate cross-functionally to support end-to-end product development — driving timelines and accountability

Maintain detailed documentation in PLM for all technical changes and approvals

Manage multiple styles and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment

Required

Bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Apparel, Textile Science, or related field

5–7 years of technical design experience, with a strong focus in kids' apparel and denim

Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, grading, wash processes, safety regulations for children's apparel, and denim performance standards

Proven ability to lead fittings — set up, fit, comment, and follow through to TOP approval

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams and vendors

High proficiency in Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
