Total Rewards Analyst
Year Up United is a national workforce development organization committed to equitable access to economic opportunity for young adults. The Total Rewards Analyst will support the design and administration of compensation, benefits, and leave programs while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and competitiveness in the marketplace.

Responsibilities
Maintain an understanding of the external market, staying in tune with best practices and emerging trends in Total Rewards
Collect and analyze a wide range of relevant industry compensation and benefits benchmarking data and practices to ensure the organization’s remuneration policies are competitive, and contribute company data to surveys, when appropriate
Analyze and manage organizational job architecture, including job evaluation, and job matching activities to recommend salary band assignments based on internal and external data
Help lead annual renewal and open enrollment for benefits by coordinating materials (e.g, open enrollment guides, summary of benefits and coverage documents, summary plan descriptions, etc.) speakers, and group meetings with employees
Lead 401k audit, 5500, non-discrimination testing, and all other compliance related matters
Oversee health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
Keeping up to date with industry trends and changes in regulations related to employee benefits. Coordinates and administers all employee leave programs (e.g., FMLA, personal, military, jury, bereavement) ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws
Serve as a primary point of contact for all leave and benefit related requests communicating directly with employees
Partner with HRIS and external Total Rewards vendor partners to ensure that HR systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, NY Life) function as designed and adjust accordingly
Produce Total Rewards resources, communications, and training materials to enhance staff understanding of employee value proposition, policies, and practices
Other duties as assigned
Serve as a coach/mentor for a small number of current students
Join and sometimes facilitate weekly group sessions with students
Participate in staff meetings and trainings
Qualification
Required
2-4 years experience in HR (compensation and benefits administration experience required)
Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and federal/state legislation related to employment practices and Total Rewards program administration
Excellent analytical skills and data manipulation capabilities, including reporting; Excel knowledge required
Capable of manipulating and presenting data accurately and efficiently
Strong organizational skills (e.g., organize/maintain shared job catalog at Year Up United and external benchmarking reports)
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software
Active listener, able to see all sides of an issue and balance policy/process with solutions mindset
Ability to leverage data to drive decision making and action
Demonstrated experience in creating, improving, and streamlining processes
Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
A passion for working with young adults, and unshakable belief in their potential and a strong commitment to the mission of Year Up United
Understanding of the Opportunity Divide and its drivers
Deep commitment to fostering a culture of belonging with demonstrated ability to integrate belonging into practice
Preferred
Experience with HR systems; Workday, ADP and NY Life preferred
