Responsibilities
Inspect material, mark defects and flaws for grinding and remove defects with hand grinder if required
Weighs, band, mark, stamp, tag and identify material after re-grinding
Check dimensions and surface quality to meet customers’ requirements
Ensure compliance with established grinding techniques
Detect and report defective material and improper operations and unusual condition to proper supervision
Comply with prescribed safety regulations and keep area clean
Perform other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED
Required to pass In-dept vision screening
Requires the use of some judgement to inspect and mark defects
Be able to read and follow written procedures
