Camaco is seeking an Acid Etch Technician to ensure the quality of wire welds through various testing methods. The role involves performing inspections, training employees, and maintaining quality standards while working in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Set-up and check dimensions on parts, using metrology instruments, to ensure parts meet quality standards and that dimensions are accurate

Perform acid etch and mag particle tests on prescribed basis

Perform steel and purchased part inspections as required

Perform sorts, audits, and rework products

Train employees in proper procedures and job skills

Enter data into the computer from paper documents for record keeping purposes

Interface with the Quality Manager to address quality issues

Contact vendors as quality concerns are detected

Interface with vendor until resolution has been attained

Problem solving

Follow safety guidelines and requirements

Continuous improvement activities support Red X / DOE activities

Various other duties as assigned

Required

High School diploma or equivalent required with completion of established curriculum and/or demonstrated understanding of skills

Two – Four years of experience

Ability to follow established procedures

Strong attention to detail

Working knowledge and understanding of acid etch requirements

Problem Solving

Knowledge of product and processes

Blueprint reading

Knowledge of Quality standards – AIAG/ASQC, ASME, AITF16949

Communication skills to communicate and interact with all levels of employees, customers, and suppliers

Computer skills and math skills sufficient to perform department related tasks as required

Ability to work effectively with people

Valid driver's license
