Part-Time HR Generalist
Katz Melinger PLLC is a New York-based law firm committed to providing exceptional legal representation. They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time HR Generalist to support their team by managing HR processes, ensuring compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities
Manage onboarding and offboarding for attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation
Support recruitment and hiring processes, including drafting job postings and coordinating interviews
Serve as a resource for team members regarding policies, procedures, and HR questions
Administer payroll changes, time tracking, and contractor payments in Gusto
Assist with policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, and compliance tracking
Partner with the Director of Operations to improve HR systems and workflows
Track PTO, leave requests, and performance review cycles
Handle all benefits and 401k
Help sustain a positive, professional, and collaborative firm culture
Qualification
Required
3+ years of HR generalist or people operations experience (law firm or professional services background preferred)
Expert knowledge of Gusto (required)
Benefits and 401K experience (required)
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices (multiple states preferred)
Excellent communication, organization, and discretion
Self-directed and dependable, with the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Available during standard business hours in the Eastern time zone
