Immigration Paralegal

Responsibilities

Assist with client intakes to obtain relevant case information
Conducting legal research for cases
Coordinate with clients to gather documents, complete forms, review, and provide case status, etc
Drafting correspondence to clients, courts, USCIS, NVC, attorneys, etc
Preparing cases for submission (Printing and assembling documents, scanning and saving, and organizing mail delivery)
Handle administrative tasks such as filing papers, answering telephone calls, and maintaining and organizing reference files
Maintaining the attorney’s schedule, database, and calendar
Review files regularly, consult with the attorney, and prepare regular status reports
Writing skills required
Experience in Bookkeeping is a plus

Preferred

Previous experience in consular processing, adjustments, and business immigration
Sourcing funds (forensic accounting)
Client interaction (especially high net worth individuals as well as developers)
Occasional handling of EOIR, E-2, L-1, O-1, H-1B, and other business nonimmigrant cases
Experience in Bookkeeping is a plus
