Mid LevelVelocity Staff, Inc. is working with a client in Overland Park, Kansas, to find a Systems Administrator for a CONTRACT TO HIRE role. The role involves managing Windows devices, enhancing Service Desk applications, and potentially contributing to SharePoint administration.

Responsibilities
Manage patch management for Windows devices to ensure security and compliance
Coordinate software deployment, updates, and installations across the network
Perform device imaging and configuration to maintain a standardized environment
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of hardware and software assets in the system
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows devices promptly
Oversee the care and maintenance of the Service Desk application
Implement changes and updates to the Service Desk application as required
Provide technical support to users encountering issues with the Service Desk application
Collaborate with the IT team to ensure the application aligns with business needs
Utilize your strong understanding of Active Directory to manage user accounts, groups, and permissions
Ensure accurate user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access management
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement security policies and user access controls
Assist with SharePoint administration tasks, focusing on system maintenance and management
Support users in their interactions with SharePoint, resolving access and basic functionality issues
Collaborate with the team to ensure SharePoint aligns with business processes
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in Systems Administration with a strong emphasis on Windows 10, MS Office, and Active Directory
Familiarity with LifeCycle Management processes, including patch management, software deployment, and device imaging
Experience in maintaining and enhancing Service Desk applications, with the ability to implement changes and updates
Knowledge of Active Directory user management and access control best practices
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Preferred
Familiarity with SharePoint administration, including basic administration and user support (desirable)
Assist with SharePoint administration tasks, focusing on system maintenance and management
Support users in their interactions with SharePoint, resolving access and basic functionality issues
