Account Executive, Specialty Lines

They are seeking an Account Executive to manage significant accounts, oversee client service needs, and collaborate with Client Executives to maximize account management and service deployment.

Responsibilities

Manage and participate in client meetings such as a Stewardship, PreRenewal and Renewal presentations
Manage underwriting and carrier relationships
Manage or direct account marketing, generally utilizing established markets but may be responsible for providing additional market options
Research market trends, develop strategies and negotiate with carriers
Advise on the sufficiency of coverage and make specific program recommendations
Provide technical support to Client Executives, specifically in analyzing client needs, coverage forms and quotations
Collaborate with Client Executives and Account Managers to develop strategy in order to maximize account management and service deployment
Acquire thorough understanding of client insurance objectives and critically analyze and compare insurance terms and conditions
Trouble shoot, issue spot, and problem solve matters between the client and the insurance company
Manage client relationships alongside Client Executive
Manage or direct the development of submissions as well as verify quote occurrence and proposals
Market, place and analyze new and renewal insurance programs, including proposal preparation and presentation
Respond to client requests for information, documents, and general insurance inquiries. Handle all aspects of Commercial Lines Property & Casualty Insurance. Frequent, outside service visits, to the client, will be required
Respond to underwriters questions in a timely and professional manner
Proper documentation of files and communication to all in accordance with company workflows
Coordinates priorities and oversee new and renewal work flows
Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors and other business contacts
Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance
Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency

Required

Successful business to business sales experience (professional services and/or Commercial Property & Casualty preferred) including experience selling to executive/senior level
Ability to learn, understand and champion sales process/campaigns, and value proposition
Property & Casualty Insurance License
Ability to analyze complex insurance situations, needs and options and communicate these options both verbally and in writing in a clear, concise manner
Ability to understand written and oral communication, and interpret abstract information
Advanced Knowledge of insurance products and usages
Advanced Knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets
Knowledge of insurance rating and underwriting procedures
Ability to carry out complex tasks with many concrete and abstract variables
Strong computer skills with and familiarity with tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word and AMS
Ability to manage complex projects simultaneously
Ability to work independently of Client Executive and take the lead on all elements of client servicing when necessary
Negotiation and presentation skills

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree preferred
Completion of CIC or CPCU designation preferred
