Responsibilities
Undertake a variety of projects, including tunnels, micro tunnels, other trenchless methods, design of shafts, braced excavations, and other underground structures/projects
Perform geotechnical evaluation of subsurface conditions including soil, rock, and mixed face conditions
Produce design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings covering a range of projects from new construction, modifications, and rehabilitation to existing underground facilities, maintenance, and refurbishment
Assess subsurface conditions and developing design criteria
Receive and review various shop drawings for projects
Develop engineering concepts and articulate them to the team
Write reports for submission to clients as well as assisting with preparation of proposals to clients
Liaise with the client, attending progress meetings, and producing reports on progress
Assist the team in resolving important design related questions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a directly related field
Three (3) years of experience as an Engineer or other occupation involving experience in tunneling or underground structure engineering
Three (3) years in structural inspection of tunnels
Three (3) years in structural analysis and design of tunnels or other underground structures using STAAD, SAP 2000, Plaxis 2D, Plaxis 3D, or similar structural analysis software
Three (3) years in development of design contract documents of tunnels or other underground structure projects including design drawings
