Responsibilities
Prepare Individual and High-Net-Worth (HNW) income tax returns
Prepare Corporate income tax returns
Handle international filings, including FBARs, Form 1116, 5471, and 5472
Assist with foreign jurisdiction reporting such as FBAR and PFIC (experience a plus)
Prepare sales tax and Commercial Rent Tax returns across diverse industries
Review and respond to government notices on behalf of clients
Prepare and analyze fixed asset schedules and depreciation calculations
Perform income statement and balance sheet analysis
Support tax planning, estimates, and complex client planning initiatives
Prepare quarterly and annual tax provision calculations; assist with disclosures
Test deferred tax balances and reconcile tax filings with tax provisions
Draft research memoranda, correspondence, and supporting documentation for IRS or state authorities
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4–7 years of tax preparation experience within a CPA firm (required)
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships at all levels
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Preferred
CPA or EA designation, or a Master's in Taxation, is highly desirable
Experience with ProSystem Fx Tax, Engagement, and/or Fixed Assets (advantageous)
Familiarity with QuickBooks and/or Sage/Peachtree
Assist with foreign jurisdiction reporting such as FBAR and PFIC (experience a plus)
