Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the structural design team in North Carolina composed of a diverse group of engineers for projects within the Southeast

Support Leadership teams through recruitment of additional staff, developing the existing team, managing utilization and supporting business and strategic planning initiatives

Design and develop plans and drawings, which may include the development of preliminary layout and/or final drawings

Plan and review the production of engineering drawings, specifications engineering investigations and planning work

Lead junior professionals and technical personnel on the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans

Coordinate with all staff, including other disciplines, to maintain project execution and control to achieve continuity of purpose within scope, budget, and time schedules from initial start-up through final design on Bridge projects

Supervise and/or participate in quality control checks, maintaining quality standards in all work produced, checking computations, and/or reviewing designs and drawings performed by others

Assist with creation of project scope, cost and manpower estimates, schedules and job budgets

Provide guidance and support to younger engineers, fostering their professional growth through mentorship and knowledge sharing
