Responsibilities

Deliver conceptual engineering and preliminary engineering for Rail & Transit

Coordinate plans for the Client with other agencies and stakeholders

Prepare and update technical reports and specifications

Participate in the preparation of material quantities and cost estimates

Develop operating schematics for train handling procedures within confined terminal facilities

Undertake and advise on operational modelling for Rail and Transit projects

Undertake assistant Project Management duties for Rail and Transit projects

Ability to work as part of a growing team

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other transportation related field from an accredited University

Minimum 4 years' experience in Rail & Transit

Ability to work as part of a growing team

Preferred

Working towards Professional Engineer (P. E.) designation in California

Good working knowledge of the Class 1 Railroad design standards

Experience in freight rail yard train operation and train handling

Experience in developing layouts for rail facilities to meet the operating requirements

Working knowledge and experience of design and data management software including Civil 3D, Autocad, Word, Excel, VISSIM and Syncro

Experience in working complex modern urban style rapid transit projects in North America

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills in complex and changing environments

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good working relationships with clients and project teams
