Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients to design, implement, and optimize solutions involving Microsoft O365, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and associated security tools and services

Advise clients on best practices for cybersecurity within the Microsoft ecosystem, focusing on Active Directory, O365, and Exchange security features

Manage the deployment, migration, and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange Online and Microsoft O365 tenant environments, ensuring optimal performance and security

Provide expertise in configuring and managing Entra ID and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions to ensure seamless and secure user experiences

Develop and execute PowerShell scripts to automate administrative tasks and improve the efficiency of client environments

Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations to enhance clients’ Microsoft environments, especially within the context of higher education

Deliver professional services, including consulting engagements, system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning

Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to clients to ensure sustainable use of deployed solutions

Maintain close communication with clients and internal teams to ensure project alignment and client satisfaction

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

5-7 years of experience as a Professional Services Consultant, specializing in Microsoft technologies

Expertise in Active Directory migrations utilizing 3rd party solutions

Strong expertise in Exchange Online migrations using the Microsoft O365 migration tools and other 3rd party solutions

Strong expertise in Microsoft O365, Microsoft O365 Security, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Exchange Security, Microsoft Exchange Online, and O365 Tenant Management

Proficient using email security solutions including DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and other 3rd party email security solutions

Expertise in configuring and maintaining Google Workspace environments

In-depth knowledge of Entra ID and Single Sign-On (SSO) configurations and management

Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration tasks

Experience as a consultant for higher education clients is highly desirable

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred

Experience with higher education IT environments, their unique challenges, and opportunities

Ability to design and implement tailored Microsoft solutions for diverse client needs

Familiarity with ITIL processes and service delivery frameworks

Strong organizational and project management skills

Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus
