Responsibilities

Performs structural analysis and design of bridges and other structures using industry-standard analysis and design software programs

Have working knowledge using MicroStation and LEAP bridge design software

Plan creation, design, and checking for conventional bridge projects

Assists in preparing and modifying reports, studies, preliminary designs, and detailed designs with all phases of bridge design

Projects will involve a variety of superstructure, substructure, and foundation types

Assists in the preparation of quantity take-offs/calculations, preconstruction unit cost development, and cost estimates/engineer’s estimates for projects

Have working knowledge in design of concrete, steel, concrete masonry, and timber as well as spread and pile foundations and retaining/sheet pile walls

Have working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials LRFD Bridge Design Specifications

Required

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program

Minimum 3-5 years' experience in bridge design

Possess Engineer in Training or FE Certification or Professional Engineer license

Proven technical writing and communication skills

Excellent interpersonal skills, including organization and attention to detail

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for this position

Have working knowledge using MicroStation and LEAP bridge design software

Have working knowledge in design of concrete, steel, concrete masonry, and timber as well as spread and pile foundations and retaining/sheet pile walls

Have working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials LRFD Bridge Design Specifications
