Lead Engineer – Program Manager

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer – Program Manager to coordinate metrics and processes for repair special inspection tooling for engines. Responsibilities

Responsible for developing and managing cross functional, technology led, or product focused programs
Manages budgets and interfaces with contractors, suppliers, customers and internal functions
Manages program resource and budget allocation/integration
Manages schedule, budget, and process for NPI, requisition, or sustaining repair special tools
Influences the repair shops to meet customer CTQs
Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline
Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy
In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area
Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance
Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks
Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems
May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology from an accredited university
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing or repair related processes
Must be willing and able to travel- 10%

Preferred

Experience in aerospace engine repair processes
Understanding/experience in manufacturing processes
Demonstrated ability to coordinate numerous projects simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Established project management skills
PC proficiency
