Vice President of Global Operations
Lean Focus is seeking a Vice President of Global Operations who will be an experienced senior leader responsible for the development and continuous evolution of the Business Operating System across the enterprise. This role involves collaborating with business segment leaders to drive operational excellence and ensure alignment with enterprise objectives.
Responsibilities
Applying Business Operating System tools and methodologies to achieve continuous improvement and SQDCG and financial objectives
Exemplifying the culture of Continuous Improvement across the organization
Facilitating impactful improvements across the business in alignment with strategic objectives and expectations from stakeholders
Developing and communicating a future vision including regional manufacturing strategies for the business
Analyzing business metrics, trends, and processes to develop improvement strategies
Utilizing a team-oriented structured problem-solving approach to analyze current conditions, diagnose problems, and identify improvement opportunities
Driving Lean transformation in challenging areas
Training teammates and executives on Continuous Improvement methods, both in formalized settings and stop-and-teach at Gemba
Assisting with plant-level rollouts or transformations at newly acquired facilities
Leading and coaching multiple Kaizen events simultaneously
Developing action items from a strategic vision; balancing strategic and tactical work while meeting business performance needs
Identifying future Lean talent and coaching on methodologies to support their professional advancement
Providing strategic leadership for Global Sourcing, ensuring cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and alignment with enterprise objectives
Overseeing global Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) to optimize demand planning, inventory management, and production scheduling across regions
Driving the development and execution of Operations Training programs to build organizational capability and ensure consistent standards worldwide
Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to integrate sourcing, planning, and training initiatives into the Business Operating System framework
Establishing KPIs and governance processes for sourcing, SIOP, and training to ensure measurable performance and continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a technical field; advanced degree preferred
Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years of related work experience in progressively responsible roles including those in Continuous Improvement, Operations Leadership, and General Management with P&L responsibilities
Experience with Lean transformation and rollout across multiple businesses or production environments (built-to-order, designed-to-order, etc.)
Strong business and financial acumen, engaging and dynamic leadership skills, and bias for action
Ability to engage with all levels of the organization, including training of peers as well as executives
Team player that is always willing to coach
Strong written and verbal communication skills; general computer skills and knowledge
