Responsibilities

Lead and execute on a long term vision and strategy for Via’s mobile teams
Drive the technical direction and roadmap for mobile development, working closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize initiatives and deliver on business objectives
Coach, support and provide feedback for your direct reports to positively impact their career development and growth
Act as a subject matter expert in mobile engineering, providing guidance and thought leadership to teams within our R&D center
Improve engineering-wide processes and practices in collaboration with other engineering managers
Create a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusion on your team

Qualification

Required

Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing and leading mobile teams—including evaluating technologies, work methods, architecture and design
Minimum of 8 years of solid experience building complex mobile apps in IOS/Android/Flutter
Experience combining full stack and mobile is a big advantage
BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, or any related degree
An all-around team player and self-motivated individual
Passion for code craftsmanship
Experience working on high-scale, production-grade projects
A strong leader with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve their full potential
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
