Responsibilities

Test and troubleshoot aircraft rotor and/or propeller systems using special tools and test equipment
Diagnose any malfunctions of rotor/propeller systems and make necessary repairs
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble rotor/propeller system components, and internal hydraulic and electrical components using common to special tools, and equipment
Repair and refinish blades/propellers using a variety of metal working tools and precision measuring instruments

Required

Must have experience or training that has provided the ability to perform assembly and disassembly operations and make prescribed modifications to aircraft propeller assemblies and their components in accordance with technical specifications, procedures, and requirements
Experience using hand and power tools common to the trade
Must have at least 18 months of experience or training performing standard, routine assembly and disassembly operations and making prescribed modifications to aircraft propellers, assemblies, and accessories
Experience or training performing maintenance overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft propellers, components, for rotary wing aircraft
Experience determining maintenance needed from work orders, inspection reports, historical record, and by own diagnosis
This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement
Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform
Security Clearance requirements are determined by position and/or MOS/AFSC compatibility
Participation in direct deposit is mandatory
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period
Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
