Responsibilities

Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day functions, including reception, scheduling, billing, and medical records management, to ensure efficiency and optimal performance
Team Management: Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and mentor all support staff (e.g., veterinary technicians, assistants, receptionists). This includes managing schedules, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and fostering a positive work culture and cohesive team environment
Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, monitor financial performance (including P&L statements), oversee accounts receivable and payable, and implement cost-effective measures to drive profitability
Client Relations: Maintain a high standard of client satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and ensure a positive experience for both pets and owners
Facilities & Inventory Management: Oversee the maintenance of the clinic, including equipment function and maintenance, cleanliness, and the ordering and control of all inventory and supplies
Strategic Planning & Marketing: Collaborate with the practice owner(s) or Medical Directors to develop business strategies, implement growth initiatives, and coordinate marketing efforts to attract and retain clients

Required

A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in veterinary practice management or a similar leadership role is typically required
Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential to lead and motivate a diverse team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies
Knowledge of business and financial management principles, including budgeting, P&L analysis, and human resources expertise

Preferred

A bachelor's degree in business, veterinary management, or a related field is often preferred
