Responsibilities

Analyze and interpret supply and demand data for natural gas and power markets
Develop, maintain, and update models to forecast market trends and prices
Prepare reports and presentations to communicate market insights
Work closely with other team members to support the development of market strategies
Gather and process large datasets using Excel, Python, and SQL; create visualizations and dashboards in Excel and Power BI
Use SQL for data extraction and manipulation
Perform statistical analysis to identify patterns and trends
Stay current on industry news, trends, and regulatory developments that may impact the market

Required

Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, engineering, mathematics, or a related field

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large datasets
Willingness to learn and develop new skills in market analysis, data modeling, machine learning, and Python coding
Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both written and verbally

Preferred

Experience in energy markets or related industries
Knowledge of SQL and experience in database querying
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
