InternPlug and Play Tech Center is the world’s largest open innovation platform, and they are seeking an IT Intern to provide desktop support and maintain IT infrastructure. The role involves troubleshooting issues, managing user accounts, and supporting AV equipment for corporate events.

Responsibilities
Provide direct support to users across the organization. This can include provisioning Mac or Windows PC and installing software, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software. Investigate and troubleshoot issues
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
Create, change, and delete user accounts on various IT related platforms
Provide AV support and support all AV troubleshooting, including video conferencing and audio-conferencing room systems, digital screens, digital signage, and other related equipment
Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies
Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary
Create and modify documentation related to IT Tasks
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required
Purchase of employee’s computers, laptop and peripherals

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science
Problem-solving skills – IT specialist troubleshoot networks, computers, devices, etc
Communication skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital in this role, since this individual works directly with users and IT department personnel
Time management – Ability to easily move between duties and responsibilities to effectively prioritize and manage their own schedules
Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice
Preferred
Experience with managing Microsoft Office 365
Experience with Google Workspace (formerly known as G Suite)
Experience with JAMF MDM
Experience with Zoom
Experience with Mimecast
