Manager of Electrical Engineering
TGW Logistics is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electrical systems and controls for integration projects. This role ensures compliance with industry standards, drives innovation, and supports cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Responsibilities
Manages and mentors a team of Electrical Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
Performs personnel management duties including, but not limited to: recruiting, training, scheduling, performance management, compensation management, etc
Oversees electrical engineering activities supporting multiple projects from concept through go-live and manages onsite electrical logistics and handover to electrical installation
Oversees implementation of all red lines and final documentation of controls systems
Guides the electrical design, power distribution, and safety compliance of controls systems, reviewing and approving schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Ensures all electrical designs meet applicable codes, regulatory requirements, and TGW and customer standards
Collaborates with Controls Project Manager to plan resources accordingly and meet project demands
Works closely with other teams (controls engineering, software engineering, installation & e-installation, general project management, etc.) to support the successful realization of material-handling solutions
Travels to job sites to audit installation quality and support troubleshooting efforts for complex issues
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Controls-related field (Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) or equivalent work experience
Seven (7) or more years of Controls or Electrical Engineering experience in industrial or material-handling environment, with previous management experience
Up to 20% domestic and international travel, as required
Demonstrated experience supporting full design-to-production project lifecycles
Demonstrated leadership experience and ability to manage interpersonal conflict
Experience with Siemens TIA Portal, Step 7, or equivalent knowledge
Robust knowledge of industrial automation and control systems
Awareness of applicable codes (NEC, NFPA, UL, CUL, CE, etc.) and regulations (local, state, and federal)
Ability to remain stationary at a desk for prolonged periods of time
Ability to go to site frequently and move safely around industrial and/or warehouse environment
Ability to lift and carry supplies up to 25 pounds at a time
Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other electronic devices
Ability to communicate with others verbally and in writing, on a frequent basis
Ability to tolerate exposure to job site temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather in geographic region
Preferred
Prior experience in automation and material-handling preferred
Some experience with controls visualization systems preferred (SCADA, HMI, etc.)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
