AAM is a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, and they are seeking an Industrial Engineering College Co-op to assist plant Industrial Engineers with various functions. The role involves supporting lean manufacturing implementation, conducting time studies, and maintaining data related to operational efficiency.

Responsibilities
Build / modify operator Job Instructions in MS Excel. Work with operators and engineers to detail operations
Assist with OEE data collection. Helps to identify and conduct studies on loss areas and opportunities for improvement
Conduct time studies, and cycle time checks
Assist Manufacturing with implementation of lean concepts in manufacturing and assembly department
Assist with work area equipment layouts and machine verifications
Assists Manufacturing in other project activities, as the need arises
Assist with the implementation of methods improvements
Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and other members of IE team to track projects and update them as needed in APEX
Assist AOS Manager in validating annualized savings
Maintain spreadsheets relating to Scrap and OEE Savings
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Pursuing an undergraduate degree fulltime in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical engineering with a graduation date of December 2026 or later
Availability to work a minimum of 25 hours per week
Minimum 3.0 GPA
Strong digital literacy especially in Microsoft applications and AutoCAD
Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes with emphasis on lean manufacturing concepts
Must be able to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship
