Mechanical Testing Team Member - MCL - 2nd shift
RTX is transforming the future of flight by designing and servicing innovative engines. They are seeking a Mechanical Testing Team Member to perform mechanical testing, inspect specimens, and engage in process optimization to meet production and quality goals.

Responsibilities
Perform daily walk arounds to prior to testing
Receive-in and inspect testing specimens for accuracy
Sort priorities as needed
Operate multiple creep, stress rupture, and tensile mechanical testing machines for Specimen destructive testing
Comply with all training required, including Quality procedures as well as MCL Manuals and Standard Work
Log testing data in UGA (as needed)
Maintain required log books
Check/ validate testing accuracy
Perform 6s each shift
Engage in process optimization to allow success of production/quality goals while achieving and maintaining cost savings
Complete all training within the expected time given
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Must be willing to work the scheduled shift and may need to train on an alternate shift. Overtime may be required
U.S. Citizenship is required
Familiar with micrometer, calipers, microscopes and other measuring equipment
Preferred
Two to five years' experience in quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
Technical degree preferred
Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures
Understanding of internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
Good organizational skills
