Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic business plan that achieves company sales goals and profitability targets
Lead, develop, and coach a high performing Inside Sales team focused on service excellence
Drive performance in key metrics: revenue, gross profit, margin, invoice volume, and inquiry activity
Create individual and team development plans to increase sales effectiveness and pipeline growth
Identify opportunities and build action plans to drive deeper market penetration
Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns and regional initiatives
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through calls, email, and in-person visits
Conduct regular one-on-one reviews to promote communication, coaching, and performance improvement
Provide timely updates and insights to regional and company senior leadership
Deliver accurate, competitive pricing while maximizing profitability
Support Customer Service Specialists with opportunity preparation, pricing, terms, and proposals
Review and validate all orders, invoices, quotes, and correspondence for accuracy and adherence to process
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and business ethics standards
Promote value-added services and company programs to expand selling opportunities
Analyze and interpret financial data to understand trends, impacts, and profit center performance
Understand and support operational activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent professional experience
Strong B2B sales experience, preferably in manufacturing, industrial distribution, or related fields
Demonstrated ability to negotiate, win new business, and grow existing accounts
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to type 40+ WPM
Advanced math skills and strong business acumen
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to challenges
Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency and ownership
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Strong team orientation and the ability to perform under pressure
Exceptional organization, multitasking, and attention to detail
Creative and initiative-driven approach to sales
Experience with key account management best practices
