2026 Undergraduate Summer Fellow

As an Undergraduate Summer Fellow, you will engage with leadership and work on various initiatives that intersect health technology, operations, and community health, contributing to the mission of expanding surplus medicine redistribution.

Responsibilities

Building and expanding partnerships: Develop strategies to engage and better serve healthcare providers and community organizations, such as social services, food banks, and local government agencies, to expand the reach of surplus medicine redistribution across various states
Conducting outreach and market research: Manage outreach efforts to diverse healthcare providers, target specific medical specialties, and explore new verticals for community partnerships, leveraging research and relationship management
Managing special projects: Lead high-impact initiatives, such as distributing emergency contraceptives or optimizing safe redistribution methods for cold-storage medications, ensuring successful implementation and scaling
Driving organizational growth: Contribute to strategic initiatives across marketing, operations, policy, and other functions, collaborating with co-founders to support SIRUM’s mission
Enhancing SIRUM’s digital presence: Design and implement strategies, such as social media campaigns, to grow SIRUM's digital presence and engage broader audiences

Candidates are required to secure their own funding for this fellowship
Fellows are required to work 3 days in-person at SIRUM's Palo Alto, CA office and 2 days remote for the duration of the 9-week fellowship, June 15-August 14, 2026
