Executive Director, Center for Digital Government
e.Republic is a leading organization focused on empowering state and local government and education through data, media, and events. The Executive Director will provide leadership and strategic direction for the Center for Digital Government programs, overseeing initiatives such as the Digital Communities program and various government surveys and awards.

Responsibilities
Provide leadership over all deliverables for the Digital Communities (DC) program such as surveys, jurisdictional profiles, workshops, and summits in coordination with other executive leaders of the Center for Digital Government, the Content Studio, and other internal departments such as Editorial and Design
Program strategy and development for all government-related programs (state, county, and city). The CPO will continue to support state related activities
Build and maintain relationships with key government leadership, technology leaders, and other officials in cities and counties across the nation. The focus will be on engaging with CIOs/Tech Leaders from the top 50 cities and top 50 counties based on population for Digital Communities; the mid-market CIO’s, CTO’s, and Tech Leaders in mid-sized cities and counties for mid-market; special district technology leaders for special districts
Gain relevant background knowledge based on jurisdictional submissions from the DS, DC, and Government Experience survey/award programs
Representing eRepublic through speaking and moderating at in-person and virtual Digital Government Summits, webinars, and workshops.. Help design and host CDG events including summits, workshops including the annual market briefing – Beyond the Beltway and the annual Envision event
Provide speaking and moderating services for Digital Government Summits, webinars, and workshops
Technology Leadership: Identify emerging technology trends and companies. Provide leadership for government through LinkedIn posts, articles for Gov Tech and Governing, develop concepts and ideas to be used in events, programs, content papers and webinars. Participate in developing the Gov Tech 100 list
Provide thought leadership and content expertise to assist e.Republic in supporting state, local and education government leaders
Create unique programs, build relationships, implement structure, ensure deliverables are met for vertical initiatives – for example, public safety, transportation, health and human services. and Governing
Strategic Networking: Represent the department at government technology conferences, events, and forums to build organizational presence
Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships within the government sector that enhance program value and reach
Member Recruitment: Lead recruitment of high-value government sector members who enhance council discussions and outcomes
Support business development for new and existing clients across all eRepublic products
Assist in the development of new product offerings with Research, Content Studio, and Digital Marketing
Assist e.Republic Sales personnel whenever necessary on selling CDG related products and services
Create CDG content in the form of monthly columns and thought leadership papers when needed
Assist Senior VP with the Digital States Program
Responsible for maintaining and strengthening the relationship with the National League of Cities, National Association of Counties, and other government organizations as needed
Work closely with Senior Fellows to utilize their expertise
Required travel 1-2 times per month for up to 2 days at a time
Serve as the deputy to the Chief Programs Officer

Qualification
Required
10-15 years' experience in state and local government or has equivalent working knowledge of the organizational structures, processes, and technologies of state and local governments and education
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to organize and lead small and large groups
Demonstrated ability to excel as an independent contributor working with teams across the organization
Strong team player willing to collaborate with other senior leaders
The ability to manage multiple projects and competing timelines, and simultaneously set priorities for self and others
The ability to strategically plan to successfully deliver quality work products
Retention of market-level knowledge once acquired; apply such knowledge to future projects and in interactions with clients
Comfortable and confident interacting with high-level officials in the private and public sector
Ability to effectively provide data insights and present findings (orally, written, graphically)
Consistently gaining knowledge to stay current with the market, policy, and technology
Sophisticated, professional understanding and personal application of standard business practices and processes
Organized and effective work habits that support project management needs, including delegation
Problem solving and troubleshooting; utilizing creative problem-solving skills to navigate through issues that may delay presenting deliverables to clients on time
Must be in a work environment with reliable Internet access
