Responsibilities
Responsible for providing a world class onboarding experience to newest Vehicle Transporters at Carvana
Serve as the primary trainer, getting new hires up to speed over a 2-week training period on how to effectively maneuver, maintain, and operate car trailers and other logistics equipment
Teach new hires how to safely load vehicles onto a 9 car hauler, keeping customer vehicles free of damage
Comfortable with classroom training as well as hands-on training
Ability to be coach, mentor, and provide feedback to new hires
Draw upon a wide variety of techniques to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development
Use skills matrix and evaluation checklists/assessments or similar tools
Collaborate with multiple Logistics Managers to ensure a smooth transition from training to on-the-job
Support with other projects as needed
Travel is required 50% of the time, however business needs could dictate more travel
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent is desirable
CDL class A and clean driving record
Bend, kneel, twist, squat, stand and climb as required to secure load
21+ years old
Ability to speak, read and write English
Proficient with word, spreadsheets, systems
Have more than two years of CDL driving experience
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Maintain a DOT Medical card
Ability to develop individuals and teams for organizational success
Preferred
System and on the job training experience preferred
Smith Systems training and/or certification preferred or willing to be certified
Vehicle hauling experience preferred
