Responsibilities
Support General Manager and engineering team with financial, project, and monthly reporting
Manage the supervisors to drive efficiency through production and planning
Communicate to team members production plan/status via start-up and pacing meetings
Set up relevant training and development for direct reports i.e. Leadership Standard Work or Lean Manufacturing
Manage production planning and ordering of supplies and equipment as needed
Oversee efficiency tracking and labor planning
Communicate any concerns or call-outs with customer, as necessary
Assess project and resource needs
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
Ensure health and safety regulations are met
Identify, anticipate, and remove operational bottlenecks
Drive continuous improvement via 5S and 8 waste elimination training
Work with vendors and suppliers to maintain (WIP) work-in-process inventory
Provide reporting on production, safety, quality, and any other reports as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, preferred
3 years' industry experience in Primary Packaging, Secondary Packaging, Custom Packaging, Manufacturing or related businesses and/or operations, required
2 – 4 years' management experience in a supervisory / management role, required
