Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact for consumers regarding outstanding legal debt matters
Negotiate payment solutions in compliance with firm, client, and regulatory standards
Make outbound and receive inbound calls related to legal collection accounts
Follow up with consumers on missed or returned payments to maintain settlement agreements
Exhibit professional negotiation skills and maintain high-quality legal collection standards
Consistently meet or exceed monthly production and collection goals
Maintain knowledge of all relevant laws, regulations, and client requirements governing debt collection and settlement negotiations
Stay current on the legal process related to collections and advise consumers when appropriate
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience in a high-volume call center environment
Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills
Effective oral and written communication skills with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under pressure
Capable of maintaining professional relationships in a competitive, fast-paced legal environment
Ability to work respectfully with a diverse range of people and maintain confidentiality
