Responsibilities
Works with appropriate stakeholders to determine user requirements for a feature
Supports identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product feature with oversight
With guidance, learns to create and implement code for a product, service, or feature reusing code as applicable
Assists and learns about breaking down work items into tasks and provides estimation
Acts as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) in monitoring system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions for simple problems, and recommends actions to restore system/product/service by following the playbook
Reviews current developments and proactively seeks new knowledge that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience
1+ year of experience with AI LLM models, such as OpenAI, Azure AI, ML
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Preferred
2+ years of experience with AI LLM models, such as OpenAI, Azure AI, ML
Ability to excel in a research-driven, experimental environment by embracing iterative development and shipping
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as TypeScript, Python, C#, Java
Experience working with or delivering AI-assisted developer tools
Relevant experience running a 24/7 Azure based services
Detailed knowledge of object-oriented design and programming, Test Driven Development approaches, and distributed cloud architectures
Growth mindset with a desire to continually learn and apply new skills to a broad range of projects as you dig into complex problems and create solutions that scale to a large system and codebase
Possess interpersonal skills necessary to articulate design choices and the importance of our security deliverables
Experience working with experimentation systems, telemetry systems and data to drive engineering and product decision making
