Responsibilities

Document opportunities to grow our HVAC systems support offering and communicate sales strategies to secure basis of design (via representatives) primarily through consultants
Call on sales representatives or consultants as needed to promote HVAC Systems concepts and influence their designs to include Daikin product features and benefits through basis of design specifications. Deliver content to end users, developers, architects, etc. as needed resulting from primary consultant-based activities
Represent Daikin Applied via professional associations such as USGBC, ASHRAE, AEE, with a focus on IAQ topics
Promote Daikin Applied as a technology leader and environmentally responsible manufacturer
Develop expertise on the features, benefits, technical performance, and design guidelines for Daikin Applied’ s products and deliver systems guidance levering those strengths, marketed to consultants
Serve as the subject matter expert for the theme of IAQ with deep expertise on this impacts systems
Lead internal efforts to address HVAC Systems needs by working with solutions leaders to prioritize solutions in their roadmaps by evaluating and delivering business cases for new technologies and leading project workstreams as required
Produce and deliver routine information presentations; webinars, lunch and learns, etc., to educate customers on Daikin products, and HVAC systems
Gather ongoing prospect/customer feedback, enhancement requests, and related information
Liaise with Equipment Sales Team to assist in expanding Daikin Applied Equipment and Daikin VRV Systems
Effectively communicate technical systems knowledge to customers through client visits, technical presentations, lunch and learns, e-mail and phone contact
Propose changes in equipment to keep pace with industry code advancements, emerging system demands and market demands, with a particular focus on IAQ. Work with customers to determine how products or services could be designed or modified to best meet clients’ needs
Produce and maintain market and competitor intelligence regarding HVAC systems offering
Document and Report on market changes affecting Daikin Applied’s products or services
Assist in creation of application guides and other technical documents that assist engineers in designing efficient and effective HVAC systems that leverage Daikin Applied products

Required

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
10+ years of HVAC industry experience in engineering, technical sales or a combination
Ability to travel up to 50% (25-35% typical) within the US and Canada. Occasional international travel as needed
Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
