Responsibilities

Design, analysis and development of structural modifications for nuclear power plants
As required, function as the discipline leader for larger structural engineering efforts, supervise engineering and design personnel to perform various tasks on schedule and on budget
Utilize your professional engineering license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision
As required, coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget
Review relevant codes and project specific procedures, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project tasks
Perform structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings
Develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules

Required

Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a four-year, accredited college or university
Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design supporting nuclear modification work
Minimum 5 years in an engineering leadership position, managing engineering and design staff at the project level
Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers
Professional Engineering (PE) license in US
Experience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power plants
U.S. citizenship to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements

Preferred

Experience with ANSYS and SAP2000 is a plus
Experience working with Duke Energy (Nuclear) is a plus
